Please do not ship us your gun without first contacting us by phone or email so we can discuss your needs. Guns shipped to us without prior notice may be returned to you unopened if we are not here to accept delivery. Please follow up your phone conversation by including a note with your gun which describes the problem you are having and any specifics you discussed with Mark. Please also include contact information we can use to notify you when your repair is completed.
DeHaan Shotguns has very low shop rates to begin with, and because of our experience and parts availability we think you will find we can fix your gun cheaper, quicker, and better than any other shop. We can normally give you an estimate of the cost for the work your gun needs as you describe it over the phone. That is one of the reasons you should contact us before you ship your gun. There will also be added a return shipping charge; we normally use United Parcel Service ground shipping, but we can use other carriers and methods if you would like.
Usually we can complete a repair within 2 - 7 days after receiving the gun. Of course workload and backlog will vary and affect this, so it is best to inquire when you call.
When the work on your gun is completed, we will contact you to let you know the total charges (including return shipping) and arrange your payment. You can mail us a personal check, certified check, or a money order or we can arrange a credit card payment using PayPal.
Our gunsmithing shop is closed during the winter (starting December) and Spring (until May) as we travel.
